A makietie is an event. It’s a happening. It’s the place to be. It’s one of the most joyous words in my mother tongue.
My mother gave me the nickname Makiti at a very early age. Art, for me, is the only way to express the festival that life is. Join me on this beautiful journey intended for me.
I am a graduated and experienced graphic artist expressing myself through fine arts projects . Currently I am the Marketing Director for a South African pharmaceutical company.
I am passionate about woman’s issues, children, architecture as well as design and construction. My concern for environmental issues has led to the development of a unique cement-based medium prepared with recycled paper.
The festival of life is expressed in variety and diversity. I reference this in the use of multiple and ever-evolving materials and genres.
